Command Line Fails

By billy.sherman ·
My command line fails when I launch it. It stays up for about 3 to 10 secones (it varies), then just goes away. I get one of the following event loggs after the fact:

Faulting application ypager.exe, version 5.5.0.1232, faulting module ypager.exe, version 5.5.0.1232, fault address 0x00002abc.

Faulting application startw.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module startw.exe, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x0000654e.

Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone know what I can do to fix it?

Command Line Fails

by BeerMonster In reply to Command Line Fails

Hi,
I note that one of the faulting modules is ypager - this is a component from yahoo messenger. MS states that there is a - "known issue with Yahoo! Messenger and Windows XP" - but doesn't give any further details. I suggest that you uninstallyahoo messenger if present, or upgrade it (ms recommendations) to version 5 or greater. Hope this helps...

Command Line Fails

This seemed to help a little, however after about 20 minutes my command line started failing again. I am going to award U the points as my only answer, however I am still gonna have to do a re-install to get around this.
