Command Line System Display Commands

By WebGuyBob ·
Hello, fellow techies.

I am looking for Windows-native or GNU command line utilities that perform two functions:
1 - Display the text that was just copied into system buffer (clipboard)
2 - Display the word count/line count for text that was just copied into system buffer (clipboard)

TIA,

Bob

Do a little research yourself. There are literally hundreds of freeware sites, most of them categorize their offerings. I'm sure you will find what you need because I remember seeing one.

Ralph,

Thanks for the response. I always do some digging up-front before coming to the group. I found things 'close' to what I needed, but not exactly there. Nonags.com had the best selection. However, they were mainly true clipboard utilities whereas I'm looking to snag AND manipulate something from the environment buffer while in the shell.

Thanks,

Bob

Sorry for the curt response but I read so many questions here that should never have been posted that I get a little testy.

Since you HAVE looked and couldn't find anything, I'll offer to write the program for you. Do you want the two listed functions separate or both together and are there any other requirements I should know about? Send me an email.

Thanks, Ralph. I'll leave it open for a while.
