I successfuly installed a VPN tunnel thru a commercial internet firewall VPN router to access my office LAN of Netware 5.1 from home using Windows XP Pro with SafeNet VPN client. (Not using BorderManager). The whole LAN is behind the firewall. I canping and have access to all the Windows 9X PC’s in the LAN from home except the Netware 5.1 server. I can also ping and access the server from any PC in the LAN. I have followed tips from TechRepublic’s Admin’s Guide to VPN and Remote Access withoutany luck so far. Any ideas to be able to at least ping the server?. Or is it that Netware 5.1 only accepts VPN connections for remote access using their BorderManager software?
