While running the BIOS upgrade SP15803.exe
I get a error that said. Either there are no valid driver on the diskette or there are no upgradable devices in the system. I know the the BIOS is down level because it will not let me install a drive greater then 8GB.
on System info screen it should have the bios info bios version/date but i get unknown, 06/25/1997
I still cannot get the BIOS to upgrade.
I have tryed have everthing that has been
suggestion, but No luck getting the BIOS to update.

DESCRIPTION: This creates a ROMPaq firmware upgrade diskette to
upgrade the System ROM in the above-mentioned Deskpro 2000 Pentium
Pro models (586C2 ROM Family). The ROM Family and ROM date can be
determined by running F10 Setup.
Enhancements/Fixes:
– Updates System ROM to Version 5C2_0601.99.
– Allows system to recognize hard drives larger than 8 GB.
HOW TO USE:
1. Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.
2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and
change to that directory. The file that is downloaded is
SP5329.EXE.
3. From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP15803 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into
a diskette drive to create the diskette.
4. After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded
file SP15803.EXE if you wish.
5. Keeping the newly created diskette in the A: drive, cycle
system power to boot from the ROMPaq diskette.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to select the 5C2_0601.99
Compaq System ROM and flash the firmware.
