Well, I have a compaq C306US, and I’ve been having a problem or two to say the least. First off I just bought a new battery for my computer. My first battery that came with the computer died, and I wasn’t able to use my computer anymore even with just the AC plug in, but for some reason even with the plug in the computer would shut itself down in 5 minutes. I let my frend check it whose a computer science major, and he told me that My battery was dead, and that it may have shorted out my computer that why it wouldn’t work with the charger in. So i bought another one and placed it in my computer.my laptop wont charge the battery. After first receiveing the battery It was at 20% and it worked fine, but after a few minutes with my Ac plug in I was aware that the battery wasn’t charging eventhough the plug was in. So now that my battery says O% it will stil power the CPU as long as the AC plug is in, or else it will just shut itself off again. Can anyone offer advise to help me?
