Okay, before anyone starts with the obvious “get a new battery”, I’ve already done that…
I have a Presario laptop that won’t boot or run off of battery power, but will boot/run when connected to the AC adapter. I’ve had it for a few years, so I figured it was the battery, and bought a new one. Nope, didn’t work. So, the next step… I ordered and replaced the power board in the system… No joy. Windows reads the battery as 94% charged, but won’t run off of it. It also doesn’t seem to be charging the battery any. When the battery is in place, and the AC adapter is plugged in, the battery charging light will stay lit amber (charging) for a min or two, then blinks amber (never stops). Any ideas?
