I’ve recently purchased a Compaq Presario 5000 with a dinky hard drive, which has a C drive and a D drive configuration. I added an 80 gig hard drive from my (broken) family computer, and it was recognized with no problem.
However, despite the added space I keep getting a message that say’s the D drive is full. I’ve run clean-up software and defragged the D drive, but there are files in there that I’m loathe to erase.
I want the computer to recognize the 80 gig hard drive as the main drive, or to recognize all of the space available, equally, and, I want to eliminate the bottleneck created by the D drive issue.
Any thoughts?
