Hi I got a compaq presario v4000 used. it has no battery, no hard drive, no charger and no RAM. I tried seeing if it works by plugging in a 12v adapter, and the requested voltage was 18v. It won’t turn on. if I press the power button the power light flashes. then it does nothing. is this because it doesn’t have the right adapter? or is it something else?
