I have a pc that the customer told me he tried to format. It is a
Compaq Presario 5528 running W95. The customer said he tried to format it and then it would not do a restore. He said someone told him to remove pin 1 which the manuak says clears cmos. No matter what I try it will not boot into the Compaq floppy or run the cd. It won’t boot into Tuf Test Check It or Microscope. I put it into another pc and the disks worked but said that I could not use them on this pc (it was IBM).
I have used boot disks and dos disks and no results.
