Does anybody know of a procedure or utility that can compare file\directory names on different network drives, printing out some kind of report showing matching files and directory's?

THANKS!!

I bought a small utility called Beyond Comapre. It has been a life saver several times.
How to Order Beyond Compare
The single user license fee for Beyond Compare is US$30. We have discounted pricing for multi-user site licenses.

I probably got it originally from PCworld, however the web site is:

Try http://www.bigwig.net/silicon/duplic8/

You could use the NT Resource kit utility Robocopy.

robocopy source destination /mir /L will list all differences between two directory structurs. Make sure you use the /L (list), otherwise it will mirror, and probably delete files on destination.

We use robocopy to
- backup a small remote site
- check on differences on multiple application servers.
