Compare your machine

By Norehca ·
Ive always thought it fun to compare my computer to others. Share your PC specs! Show some pictures! Show it off!

here are my specs:

MIDI ATX TOWERcase

Asus K8V SE Deluxe (mobo)
- Support Socket 754 AMD 64 architecture (w/ built-in 1MB L2 cache)
- 800MHZ System Bus
- 3x DDR DIMM sockets (1GB/e 3GB/t)

AMD Athlon 64 3700+ 2.4GHZ Socket754 (CPU)
160GB 7500RPM Western Digital (HDD)
VisionTek Radeon x1950 Pro XGE AGP 256MB (vid)
400W ATX ULTRA Xconnect (PSU)
currently connected to:
- Motherboard
- LG DVD Multi Recorder (W/Lightscribe)
- 160GB HDD
- Video Card
- 2x 1x12cm fans
- Blue Cathode Light

Note: This was NOT a premade computer and has NOT been built by any certified PC technician. I built this computer myself. All major parts such as CPU, Mobo, PSU, were bought together. I have about 3 years experience in building computers and have built over 6 computers in the past year or so. Since its original configuration, i have installed a new CPU Fan / Heat Sync, DVD Drive, Fan, and Video Card, and the 3.5" Floppy drive has been taken out for lack of needed use. The BIOS has been flashed twice.

Note: I do have a Lexan (bullet proof glass) side panel i have cut out that attaches to the side from 4 strong magnets at each corner not shown in the picture. So there is good airflow.

(This is a cut and paste from a post i have in the questions portion of the forum)

Magnets?

by jdmercha In reply to Compare your machine

I wouldn't put a magnet anywhere near my computer.

dont worry

by Norehca In reply to Magnets?

i wouldnt worry about it, they connect directly to the case and are no where near any of the computer parts. closest ting is my DVD drive and fan. no problems. The Mobo is about 8" or more away from the nearest magnet.

Hey i asked for specs please!

Hmm...

by Ed Woychowsky In reply to Compare your machine

Talk about making someone feel like it's time to upgrade. I'm using an old coal-fired laptop from 2004, so I'd rather not talk about it.

coal fired?

by Jaqui In reply to Hmm...

are you sure you don't mean rubber band powered?

whatever you do, don't look at the specs on my new hardware.
