MS-Access is a simple RDBMS database, part of the Office suite, whereas the others are large systems capable of supporting complex database systems.

MS Access is a single user, desktop database that supports a basic subset of standard SQL commands.

Its primary advantage is that it supports an integrated UI development environment for queries, reports, and graphs. One can direct the user interface to another database over ODBC connections allow use of SQL Server, Oracle, etc.

As noted above, it comes as part of MS Office, so no additional software purchases or licenses are required.

MS Access fills the need between a spreadsheet and a client-server or n-tier database application.
