As a school librarian I use my bar code scanner daily. I just bought a wireless keyboard and mouse (Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Desktop 7000)and it worked just fine with my Metrologic scanner that plugs into the keyboard port on my PC CPU for one day. I came back to work from the weekend, and it doesn’t work. The infrared lines appear, but when I place a barcode under it, nothing happens. I checked all of the connections with no luck. I unplugged my scanner/reader and plugged it into another computer that does not have a wireless keyboard, and it worked beautifully. Any ideas as to why a wireless keyboard would work one day and not the next with a scanner/bar code reader?? I am baffled.
