Try http://support.intel.com
www.pctest.com
Your hard drives may be causing your system to perform slow, check the hard drives by using scandisk and defrafmenting it to see if performance improves

Answer 1 is on the right track, though not because of drivers or defrag.

Is the motherboard installed as part of an upgrade? If so, were the hard drives and memory upgraded at the same time.

The reason is, the board you mention is capable ofUDMA 133 Hard Drive performance, and the memory specs are PC133.

If slower drives ( UDMA 66/100 ), and slower ram, PC 66/100, they will work, but at a lesser capacity.

The only solution is to get a good diagnostics program, or download Winbench from ZDNet to see if your system peripherals match the performance specs of your board.

Quite frankly, going from a PII 233mhz to a PIII 800 mhz will not impress you if the memory and hard drives are not upgraded at the same time. You may geta 5% speed increase via the processor upgrade.

Also beware of "home boy" and "garage brand" clones. Too often, their memory and HD specs are the lowest and cheapest, although they may tout the latest and greatest in processor speed. If you didn't get PC133 ram and UDMA 133 in the specs, that 800 processor is probably an expensive white elephant until the rest of the system is upgraded.....

From experience. My boss let slip a bid where memory speed and HD specs weren't specified, other than 128mb and 8gb. No mention of speed. We got burned!!!!!!!!!!!
