Compiling PHP in Linux question

By jimmy-jam ·
I have a Linux Server running apache 2 with php 5. When I complied it (PHP) I did so without CGI's. I would like to add CGI. When I recompile php can I just compile it with the CGI option or do I have to also use all the options I compiled it with originally?

Without looking into it....

My guess is that if you recompile it without the options you want, what you get is not what you want.

If somehow those options are just some extra config files or stand-alone binaries, it might be possible to hack it together.....but I really doubt it.
