Have a gateway E 3100 tower with Win 98 SE…
Win OS System was resently Re-installed!
Problem..Start/shutdown all ok../ computer shuts down fine ..Then in about 5 sec’s restarts…
After I shutdown again …hold power switch in to shut down…computer shuts down ..then restarts…
I unplug computer …plug back in …and computer restarts again with no outside help..
Ques: is this software or a switch problem ..if a switch where can one get a factory replacement…Gateway was nohelp at all!
