CompTIA Project+ Certification

By kamranak ·
I have been working as a Business Analysis role for the past 4 yrs and now want to move into Project Management field. (I do not have any other IT certifications).

I have done some research and found COmpTIA Project+ (PK0-002) certificatio a perfect fit with my profile as it provides a baseline for Project Management knowledge.

So, I am planing to take CompTIA Project+ certification asap and was wondering if I can get any suggestions for the course materials and helpful tips to take this test.

IT Project +

Excellent certification to go for if you want to specialize in IT Project Management. Another one to aim for would be the PMP.

To study for the IT Project + certification, get the course guide from Sybex. It comes with a CD of material to facilitate study as well as some mock tests.

Communicate your goals with your Project Managers and Leads on your current projects. Often if a PM knows that the BA has an interest in moving into a Project Management role, they will mentor you. While that may mean that you take on additional tasks, it will also put you in a great learning environment.

Good Luck!
