Computer account failure

By aureliamandescu ·
Almost all NT workstations can't log on to a Win 2000 domain!
The error that appears is:"The system could not log you on to this domain because the system's computer account in its primary domain is missing or the password on that account is incorrect". When trying to access such a NT workstation the following message appears: "the trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain controller failed ".
We've tried making a workstation leave the domain, reboot, rejoin the domain, reboot again. Same error.
Please help!!!

Check your settings in Active directory and trusts on your windows 2000 server. The Domain Operation mode should be set to "Mixed Mode" (supports both windows 2000 and pre windows 2000 domain controllers). If Your Server isn't set to mixed mode, you may have to reinstall your windows 2000 Server.
