Computer can't read modem or sound

On my emachines it started out with Windows Xp home. Then I formatted my hard drive and put Windows 2000 Server than my modem sound usb game port doesn't work. What should I do.

Check to see if you have usb support enabled,you will need to load the drivers that are compatible to W2K Server,to which may have to be loaded manually

Also check Microsoft's Hardware compatibility list.

W2K is not as compatible as one would hope. Also make sure you have Service Pack 3 installed as well as compatibility updates and criticals. Sometimes Online Updates will resolve compatibility issues as drivers are released periodically. One other suggestion would be to try the mfr's website for W2K drivers for your devices.
