Hi all, My computer recently is shutting down by itself. It may run for a short time, and then while you work on something, it shuts down. Occasionally, when you start it up again, it won’t even get all the way through the startup sequence before it shuts down.
Running Windows XPPro SP2. Antivirus current.
Also tried booting up from a Norton Ghost bootdisk to restore original build image, but it shut down during that too.
Thankfully, I have backed up all data fully!
Prepared to do total rebuild, but Norton bootup problem above makes me wonder whether I will be able to. Any suggestions?
