Computer freezes when left alone

by inmedia48 . Updated 24 years, 10 months ago

I reciently put together a 1.2Ghz AMD w/256 DDR RAM on an ASUS A7A mb, WD 30GB ATA/100 hd and an ATI all-in-wonder 32MB video card. The system really screems.

It is installed with just a minimum of known software (win98se)that works fine on othermachines. It resides on a network of about 6 other machines.

My problem is that when left alone the screen freezes up(can’t move the mouse, keyboard dead).

It seems to me that it is probably a hardware problem but how do I go about identifing it.

Thanks in advance.
