computer Hanging

By mickylearjet ·
I have recently been having hang problems and it seems to be getting worse. I have used regi cure, trojan remover, driver update, security manager. they had found some bad stuff, but that has gone, i have done scan disk, defrag, and chkdsk, no problems. i am running out of ideas on how to resolve this frustrating problem. just to mention after i have done a defrag, i will have 0% left, but after a few hours usage it would of defragged to ??gb, surly this can't be right? It would be much appreciated if anybody can help on this issue. Cheers Mickylearjet

When you used these scanners/repairers

Where you in Normal Mode of Safe Mode?

If it was Normal Mode you are unlikely to have completely cleaned the system.

You need to run these in Safe Mode or ideally from a Rescue Disc so that the OS isn't running and hiding things from the scanner.

You can see a List of Rescue Disc's and their uses here

Also you should try Malwarebytes available free here

Thanks Col
I have done the scans in safe mode, and no infections, or problems with the hard drive and still getting the hanging, but i think i will try some of the rescue tips.
Much appreciated for your reply. Micky
