Computer locking up-Hardware failure?

by rg11 . Updated 14 years, 7 months ago

I have an IMB Lenovo mtm 8808 with XP pro. What is happening is the computer will be running and then just lock up and quit. The numlocks stay lit and dont respond and the screen goes black. At this point I usually have to pull the power cord and wait 15-30 mins and turn it back on. When it comes on I get”The system has recovered from a serious error, the log of the error has been created” This is not happening all the time. Ive ran the IBM diagnostics test multiple times and been 100%successful and have had the computer on for a week with no problems but lately it seem every few days this happens. Here is the error signature: BCCode : 1000000a BCP1 : 00000000 BCP2 : 0000001C BCP3 : 00000001
BCP4 : 80502300 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 3_0 Product : 256_1
Any thoughts. I have reinstalled OS and swapped memory.
