computer science student miserably lost

by garywkfung . Updated 25 years, 1 month ago

i’m currently studying in computer science at the university of waterloo. At present i’m working as a tech support in a ministry under the governement, which exposed to me to a lot of networking issues and i have found networking very interesting! now, i am totally lost as to what i should do? IF I do want to do netadmin, is comptuer science useless?? should i start doing certs? if so, which ones? i heard that the network+ is awfully useless? is it?

PS. just what are my career options anyway? (other than programming for the obvious)
thanks in advance
apprecaite it
