Sounds as if the power supply has gone. Do you hear the fan moving on power up? Make sure that the electrical cord is still plugged in and switch outlets and see if you can get it going again.

If the outlets power other electrical items, thenI suggest you look at replacing your power supply with a new one.

"Make sure that the electrical cord is still plugged in and switch outlets and see if you can get it going again." By switch outlets, I mean move the power cord to another outlet and see if the outlet has gone bad.

also check to be sure the power connector is not loose on the main board. there are power supply checkers that attach to the power plug in. they cost about 10 to 15 bucks.

Often it's a problem with a loose connection.

While you plug in the power cord, watch the cooling fan. If it starts to turn and stops, then the power supply is probably fine otherwise replace it. It probably means however that your processor or motherboard has failed. Good luck - Steve
