Hello,
I recently installed Windows XP…and had a fair amount of trouble installing it with a 2.93Ghz Processor, 1024 MB PC3200 (2x 512 MB PC3200), a G4MX440-VTP graphic card, and a Samsung 80GB HDD. During the Windows XP installation, I got a few bluescreen errors (two or three different ones)…one of the three was something about being unable to write to memory (or something along those lines). At that point I took out one of my Ram Dimms. (Don’t ask why…it was four in the morning) in any case, I was able to install Windows just like that. After it was done installing, I tried adding the other Dimm back in. But the Computer would never boot to Windows. I tried switching the Dimms…but the same result. What is wrong? Upgrading Ram should be the easiest of all upgrades…what am I doing wrong? Or what can I do?
Thanks
