I quick installed a new Win 98 computer on the network Friday as I was leaving. The network is a standard NT single domain with a combination of DHCP and static clients. I installed the client for networking and file/print sharing and etc and got on the network and can see my 4D database and so forth. I can see all the network but there are a number of computer that I can’t connect to. I can see them but can’t connect to them because they are actually unavailable. Yet, every once in a while, for a moment, I could connect.
I have temporarily solved it by adding NetBuei… Not sure what the problem is, other than I generally have more problems with the 98/95 boxes anyway.
