Compuware’s Broken Code Challenge!

by voodoo queen . Updated 18 years, 11 months ago

I wanted tell you about a really cool developer challenge Compuware and ePrize are currently running. Developers love flawless code! What better way to connect with them than to challenge their speed, knowledge and agility by timing how quick they can find broken code in their favorite language. Compuware recently launched the “Find The Broken Code” interactive promotion by ePrize. The challenge, which can be found at http://compuware.eprize.net/brokencode is designed to provide an interactive environment for current and potential buyers of the .Net Developer software productivity tools to learn about Compuware products. More than 10,000 players have already registered, which has not yet been marketed on or offline ? it’s a viral hit!

The game challenges software developers to compete doing what only they know best ?code quality. Players register and are then timed as they search for and find broken code amongst examples of BASIC, C++ or C# programming languages for the chance to win. Players are scored based on the time taken to find the broken code and top-scoring players are ranked on a virtual scoreboard. All players are encouraged to play again each day and to ?tell-a-friend? about the promotion. Players can also register for a free trial of Compuware?s award-winning DevPartner Studio Professional Edition, which lets developers debug, test and tune code in Microsoft Visual Studio.

Prizes for this promotion include a sweepstakes for $10,000 cash, or an instant win prizes including a Bose? Stereo System, Bose? Noise Cancelling Headphones or a $10 Starbucks? Gift Card. The promotion ends December 15, 2007.

So, try it out today!
