This article touches on a topic I think about a lot, how to bring together the (generally) separate worlds of technology and art. There is so much technology out there that is designed solely from a tech point of view and can only be operated by someone with a tech background. People like Diana Eng are trying to bridge that gap and I appreciate her efforts. Companies like Apple are coming up with interface ideas that try a bridge that gap. Congratulations for trying!
There’s a huge segment of the population that relates to the world from an aesthetic or emotional frame of mind, and until tech people can understand that and design for these people, there will be suspicion and rejection of technology by this group.
