Having done this before some years ago, these days I totally fail to get Access 2002 working for me on XP Pro concurrently with Access 1997. After several retries, I find that when I launch Access 2002, a process advises that features are being configured for use. But in the end there is no Access 2002. None of this interferes with Access 1997, nor does it prevent me from using other Office 2002 programs. I use Word 2002 as my standard program for this type of work. But I cannot get Access 2002 to open for use.
Has anyone got a solution to this problem? And for your information, I never install anything to the default path. I install all programs to separate folders on a drive other than C. I mean, is that not the way it's done?
