i have motorola sm56pci modem my conection is shuting me out in a few sec what can i do i am conecting with 33600

i think you need to ask someone to check you phoneline , someone have the same problem like you but not motorola , he tried everting and last change the phone line from the black box .

listen to line while connecting (thru Handset) listen for static, check that you are using most updated driver, and also chk for virus. Hybris(snow white) virus can do this as well as mtx and magistr. If it is Hybris then you will have to replace wsock32.dll file w/ a fresh copy. more than likely it sounds like your modem may have taken a surge or just needs replaced. remove and reinstall the most updated modem driver first.
