I need to know if it is best practice to uninstall DNS on our domain controller and configure it on a Cisco 3750G layer 3 switch to handle all the DNS requests. DHCP is already configured on the switch and it works perfectly?
Our Domain Controller is currently running the DNS services and there is no issues. Is it best practice to configure a domain to work like this? Is there any whitepapers on the topic and if possible why should it not be done in a production environment? Is there any reason why i cant be done or should not be done?
