configure forwarding accounts

Create custom recipients.

There are two ways to do this.
1. The custom recipient contains both the incoming address and the address to forward it to. Create the custom recipient, at the initial address dialog box, enter the forwarding address. After the properties box appears and you have given it a display name, click on the email address tab, then click on new->internet address, add the email address of the user as if he had a mailbox on the server. What this will do is accept inboundmail for that address and automatically forward it to the outside address. No disk resources are used by this method.

2. Supppose the user wanted to have a copy of the email saved on the server. Create the users mailbox normally. Create the custom recipient as above, but without adding the second address. Then go back to the mailbox properties, click on the delivery options, in the bottom section under alternate recipient, click on modify, browse for the custom recipient you created, click Ok, and check the box below something about deliver the message to both. Now the mail will be delivered to the local mailbox and sent on to the forwarding address.

Hope this helps.
