configure server 2008

I have a configuration for win server 2008, and recently I have made a backup domain controller for that server .now both the server could synchronize between problem now is how to set dns on the server so they can communicate with each other and the same time to connect to the internet and how my client of win 7? on their dns settings there are only 2 spaces only, can I make additions to the Preferred and Alternate dns into 4 or more? and how ? please help me solve this problem. Thank you.

You are probably doing it wrong.

All your internal servers should have records in your DNS server.
The DNS server should have forwarders configured for a public DNS server (your ISP, whatever).
Clients don't need DNS entries pointing anywhere other than the DNS server.

Add DNS suffixes if you need them for some reason.
