Configuring a cisco router AUX

By jamie ·
I have a Cisco 2600 router, and I need to configure the AUX port to connect to the cable modem for internet. I only have one ethernet port and that will be used to connect to the network. I heard that the AUX port is different to configure than the ethernet. Can someone please provide me with the information on how to configure the AUX port for internet? Thanks

Same Problem!!

by bgallaghe In reply to Configuring a cisco route ...

I have MANY routers most being 2612's and some 2500 series models. I do know that it is configured differently, but it still is reletivly easy... Basically it depends on what you plan to do with it. Try this:

line aux 0
session-timeout 30
exec-timeout 30 0
password 7 <blink>
modem InOut

Let me know if this works or if you figure it out or if there is an other solution
