I currently have 1 W2K domain controller and 3 member servers in one subnet. On another subnet, I have a PDC running NT4 server. Both these subnets are connected using a switch which is doing the routing.
I am considering configuring a member server as another domain controller. Will there be any connectivity issues later?
How do I check if the change is successful and how do I ensure that the replication is working? What sort of tests can I do to check on this?
Also, which server actually authenticates a user login? Is there any logs or audit trails for the administrator to monitor?
Would appreciate any feedback from anyone.
