Configuring SBS to act as PDC behind Router with DHCP

by bjoern . Updated 18 years, 6 months ago

Hello,
i bit in a troble. I setup our SBS several weeks ago. It was configured to run as PDC, DHCP server, Exchange server etc. Following was the environment

1 SBS DHCP, Exchange, RRAS
Configured with 2 NIC one for LAN, one for WAN on a ADSL Modem with PPOE connection.
1 unmanaged switch
3 workstations

Due to a move to another location the setup has changed and the Domain is somehow crashed.
I cant figure out

Following has changed. instead of havin a PPPOE ADSL connection we have become clean Broadband with a static ip. Additionally there has been added a router (WRT54GL Linksys)which is responsible for DHCP and Routing.

I decided do unauthorize the running DHCP on SBS and remove RRAS in first. The thing now is that allcomputers gets assigned an IP ( Server has static ip) and all computers the server included can connect to the internet. Allcomputers can ping eachother via IP adress but now the curiosity the Clients doesnt find the server when using the server name, Exchange is not available.

I really need help to figure out how to get this Domain to work.

Can anybody help or advice me please?
