depends on your network security at work. ususally companies have vpn's setup that would allow you to access systems, however, i don't think netware would work cuz it uses ipx. vpn's usually use tcp/ip. talk to your mis people

It depends on how your DSL connection is set up at work. If each workstation has it's own IP address, you can use any remote control product (pcAnywhere, WinVNC, etc.), point it to the IP of your workstation at the office and it will be just like sitting at your desk (only somewhat slower on screen updates, etc.). This is NOT secure, however, so depending on what you're doing, it may or may not be acceptable.

If your DSL connection at work goes through a router and there is only 1 IP address to the outside world, it gets a lot more complicated. Your router will have to be configured to watch for the remote control packets and route them to your workstation; you generally do this by telling it to send all packets of a certain port number to a particular IP address. But this is still not particularly secure.

For the best solution, you need to implement a VPN server at the office and use a VPN client on your home computer. You would establish a VPN connection and then use a remote control product to control your PC at work.

At both ends, you should use a firewall, either software (e.g. ZoneAlarm, BlackIce) or hardware (one of the cable/DSL routers like the Linksys, D-Link, etc.)

Try a program called "VNC". This will give you complete access to your computer at work. All you need to do is install the Vnc softwear on your computer at work and set a password. Then install the Vnc viewer softwear at home. Then at home open vncviewer and put in the IP address and password of your computer at work. If you can't find the softwear on the web let me know Via e-mail and I'll send it to you.
