Connect a 95 PC to a Windows 2003 server

By shanna ·
Recently upgraded our Nt 4.0 domain to a Windows 2003 (AD) domain. Have a Windows 95 PC that "was" connected to the network, but since the upgrade it can't. Error received is "the password supplied is incorrect or you do not have access privileges to the specified domain" (or something to that effect).

What are the detailed procedures I'll have to follow in order for the PC to once again connect to the network?

Thanks very much for your help, everyone!

You need the Active Directory client extensions for Windows 95. Unfortunately, Microsoft chose to place those on the Windows 2000 CD in the support folder.

They are available from this link here:

Windows 95 to Windows 2003 Server connected!

by Richard Noel In reply to

I just wanted to take a moment to confirm that the "Microsoft Active Directory Client Extensions for Windows 95/98" worked for me.

That file was all I needed to get a machine that was on our network prior to our upgrade from W2k to Windows 2003 Server.

After a couple of reboots, everything worked perfectly.

Thank you
