I hope someone can show me what I’m doing wrong!
I have a customer who wants to connect his 2 computers in a peer LAN. He has broadband, so he already has a hub.
Both computer can see the internet, but won’t see each other. I have NETBEUI loaded on both for the LAN, and TCP/IP for internet. The ISP provide DHCP for internet access. I created the network diskette on the XP system and installed it on the Me system, but they still won’t see each other. I’ve checked the bindings. workgroup, names, added the other’s username to each system. I don’t see anything obvious, but I’m sure it’s something I’m overlooking.
