Connect wireless to cable network

By bpaton ·
I have 3 computers on a small office network connected by cable through a linksys router.
We now have a Notebook with an 802.11g capabilities. Is there any way for the wireless Notebook to access the existing cable network from within a 50ft radius of the office. What hardware would be required and what is a ballpark figure of cost.
All computers have Windows XP os
Thanks

Well if your router is a wireless router all you have to do is configure your wireless card to the router. If it is not a wireless router you will need to get a wireless access point connect the access point to the router then configure the card to the router. The 802.11g has a distance reach of about 150ft in an open area. Wireless access point cost about 150.00 - 200.00 us dollars
