I have this problem to connect 2 hubs over a distance of 280 metres so as to access a computer ,
the hub from the server has ad up-link port , and the other two have a uplink switch , I have spacesd them as follows from hub 1 via the uplink port 90metres and hub 2 75 metres and hub 3 to the computer 75 metres but i can not get the data thro to the computer, but at the server can see the computer via the network neighborhood and advice on the cabling , crossover if necessary and any other aspect , I have used a cat5 utp cable , and the 2 joinning hubs I have left them at normal not uplink , while on the work station I cant ping the server
