Go and buy an Ethernet switch

by robo_dev In reply to Connecting 2 Netgear WPN8 ...

Plug it into your one router, and you're all set.

However, with what you have:
Assuming that the first router is connected to the Internet.

Then you would need to do the following to the second router:

- Disable DHCP on the secondary router
- Connect a cable from a LAN port on the first router to a LAN port on the second router.

This would make the second router act as a simple ethernet switch. Not a good way to do it, but it works.

Best bet is to just buy a simple ethernet switch and plug it into the primary router if you need more ports.

Or if this is for a domestic installation a cheap 8 or 16 port Hub

by OH Smeg In reply to Connecting 2 Netgear WPN8 ...

Will do the same job. You run the CAT cable from the output of the router to the Uplink port of the Hub and then connect the computers that you want there.

Should cost about $40.00 for a decent 8 Port unmanaged Hub and less if you buy a cheap one.
