The easy way would be through a dial up connection into the other building, although this method will probably be the slowest. Another option may be through a Virtual Private Network, but I've never used this option. If you need high speed access to the other LAN, you will probably want to investigate using a leases line (provided by your telco), a fiber run to the other building, or possibly an infrared "point of site" link.

Hope this helps!

I've done a lot of building to building connections; across town, and across alley ways.

If the buildings have a direct line of site, you might want to try a wireless point to point between the two buildings. You'd be looking at about a 11MBs connection, but it is very efficient. You'd have to contact a local contractor to setup everything, but if you feel competent in setting up the devices yourself, the web has a tremendous amount of info on different types of devices.

If you don't have a direct line of site between the two buildings...a VPN would be the best resolution. Sonicwall products are easy to setup, and provide firewall features on top of a VPN connection capability. With a VPN, it will be as if you're on the same network...the VPN routes everything by itself, you just need to setup the Security associations between the two devices.

I hope these suggestions help.

Yes, a VPN is the solution to your need, but you didn't say nothing about the infraestructure or the scope of the solution.
Yes, you can rent leased lines, and you can call contractors to put a line or fiber between yor office and your home, but I don't think this is a fast, easy, and moderate cost solution!
First of all, if your company has Internet access, you can use some kind of software VPN solution (see: www.imperito.com). But if your office is small and the IT resources are limited, you should analize the use of remote access devices (see: www.3Com.com; you can find valuable info there about remote access and VPN).
If you have a very limited budget, you could think about using some kind of InternetDrive (see: www.xdrive.com); youcould upload and download files in your office and in your home.
Diferent solutions exist. If you nees more info or detailed instructions feel free to askeme (but I will need some extra info).
