CONNECTING CISCO 3600 ROUTERS ON DIFFERENT NETWORKS

By shankins ·
I have a cisco 3600 router on my network and have been given permission to connect to another network for accessing a database by telneting. We are on the 20 flr and they are on the 21st floor. There is a rj45 line that is accessible and runs between both floors which we verified is live with a pc on their and mine. I'm totally new to this but am ready to jump in. Would you please tell me a basic checklist of how I could connect with that line via my cisco router and their cisco router. I have a f/e and a serial interface on my router. Please give me a sample or something similar of what the show interface should look like?
