connecting exchange servers to same doma

1 company with 2 seperate office sites. Site1 has existing NT server4.0 and exchange server 5.5. NT server domain is XXX. Internet domain is registered and the mx record for all company email is pointed to and collected by Site1. Site1 has 10 company personell and site2 has 9 company personell. Both sites have hardwired connection to internet. Currently internet email that is for Site2, is collected by Site1’s exchange server and then forwarded to IP provided email boxes for each person at Site2. Site2 will be getting a new NT server4.0 and exchange server. NT Resources are not shared among offices. I would like Site1’s exchange server to connect with Site2’s exchange server and distribute Site2 personnel’s email to Site2’s exchange server. Sometime personnel travel among sites. I would like to utilize the same nt domain name so the users would not have to revise the domain they are logging into. Can Site2’s nt domain name be the same as Site1 (XXX)?
