Connecting Multiple Domains

It is do to your subnet mask. By using 255.255.255.0 only the last set of numbers are hosts, the rest are for the network.

Therefore 192.168.100.1 (shopping) can only see ip addresses on 192.168.100.x. When you try to add "192.168.10.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.10.1 1" to your route table shopping.com has no idea where interface 192.168.10.1 is.

Here are two solutions to this issue.
1) Set a router between the two. One router inteferface would be 192.168.100.254 and the other would be 192.168.10.254. Then the router would pass traffic between your networks.

2) Change your subnet mask to 255.255.0.0. This would make all computers on 192.168.x.x available to one another.
