i have a universal AC adapter that i have been using for awhile no problems. My 8y/o tripped over the cord knocking my Dell Inspiron 8600 to the floor. When i attempted to reconnect the adapter it keeps shorting out the adapter. What could be the problem? With just the battery power it works fine.
