Yes. You use a "null modem" cable. It is simply a serial cable with pins 2 and 3 reversed at one end. It is refered to as direct connect and can be read about in windows help files. Double click My Computer then click the help files from the menu bar. This connection is one computer to another. You can not join multiple computers.
i read your first reply and it is really good. Take that or this. GET A NIC card. believe me they are worth it. with one you can do almost anything, especially network 2 computers. If you are trying to refrain from the cost of a nic... dont. they are reletivly inexpensive and you can then buy a roughter and hook up several computers. internet all that. 1 printer, 1 internet bill, stuff like that. you can have both computers use the perifials. Nic cards are worth it. However if you are dead against the NIC, go with what the first relpy said.
Yes you can connect using a serial cable or a cross paralell cable. That kind of share needs some software and allows you to perform basic file access (not share) and no printer sharing capabilities.
