I am using Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 training to achieve this exam and finally become an MCSE. I have two computers networked at home and I have followed all the guidelines as to preparing these two computers to practice on. My problem is thatmy 2nd computer which is configured as a Standalone Server cannot join the domain. It cannot locate it. I have even tried installing it as a BDC but still to no avail. On the 2nd computer, during setup, I can detect the network card no problem but when installing NT Server on the PDC it says that no netword card is present. I have 2 hard drives on this machine, one running NT Server and the other running Windows 2000 Professional. On the 2000 side of things, my network card works fine. What is the problem? I know that NT Server does not support plug n play but it still cannot find the network card even when I try to configure it manually. I would expect this to be the reason that Computer 2 cannot find the domain. Can anyone please help. Any help is much appreciated.
